Indoor/outdoor tournament
The matches are played in accordance with the international rules. One exemption is explained below*.
Classes for GH24
U-11: 2013-2015
U-13: 2011/2012
U-15: 2009/2010
U-17: 2007/2008
U-20: 2004-2006
Tournament structure
The group matches are played on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the playoff is played on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (U-20 ends on Friday).
The A-playoff is for no. 1 and 2 (and possibly no. 3) in each group, and the remaining teams proceed to the B-playoff.
All U-11, U-13, and U-15 matches except for the finals are played on outdoor courts. All U-17 and U-20 matches incl finals are played indoor.
The team list
All teams must submit a list of players to the tournament office before the first match. In case of new players, the team must submit a new list to the tournament office. Registration of new players can only be done once and no later than Wednesday at 20:00. Exemption players cannot be registered after the first match.
If the team list is submitted too late, the team risks losing with the result 0-5.
A team is allowed to use 16 players per match.
The team must submit a team list per match, if the team a) has more than 16 players, or b) the team has more than two exemption players.
Every individual player is allowed to play for two different teams on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, these two teams cannot be in the same age group/class.
a) Every individual player can either play with an older team
b) or the player can play with a younger team, if the player is a maximum of one year older (thus, in correlation with exemption rules).
On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, every individual player can only play for one team.
Use of exemption players must be approved by the tournament office.
All players must be able to present a valid identification card with photo, if the tournament direction asks for it.
A player must use the same shirt number during the tournament.
Exemption players
A team can use exemption players that are a maximum of one year older than the class.
Every team can have a total of four (4) exemptions players on their team list, but the team is only allowed to use two (2) exemption players per match.
The team is still able to advance and win the tournament using exemption players according to these rules.
The tournament office must approve exemption players before the first match of the tournament.

The thrower must be standing still at the center of the court for throw-off.
7 against 6
While playing 7 vs 6, the 7th player must wear a vest.
Time and match duration
U-11: 2 x 15 minutes
U-13: 2 x 15 minutes
U-15: 2 x 15 minutes
U-17: 2 x 20 minutes
U-20 Girls: 2 x 30 minutes
U-20 Boys: 2 x 20 minutes (finals 2 x 30 min)
Time is not stopped for half-time. Time for 2-minute suspensions will however be stopped during half-time. Time out is not used during Generation Handball.
The referee(s) will assess if it due to sportsmanlike considerations is necessary to stop the time at some point during the match, e.g. in relation to serious injuries or disqualifications.
In the semifinals and finals, time is stopped for half-time.
In case of point equality
The position will be decided with relation to
1. Points in mutual matches
2. Goal difference in mutual matches
3. Goal difference in all matches
4. Most scored goals in the group
5. Decision by lot
In classes where the best no. 3 advances, the following rules apply:
1. Total amount of points
2. Goal difference
3. Most points against no. 1 in the group
4. Most scored goals against no. 1 in the group
5. Decision by lot
(in groups with 5 or more teams, these teams’ points etc will not count when considering the above mentioned)
In case of a draw semifinal or final
1. Rematch: 1 x 5 minutes
2. Five penalty throws to each team (five different players)
3. One penalty throw to each team until a winner is found.
In case of thunder or heavy raining
In case of changes to the match schedule, we will notify you through the GH app (push notification).
a) Local thunder: All outdoor matches will be postponed immediately in case of local thunder or lightening.
b) Heavy rain: All matches on the Energi Viborg Stadium courts will be moved to Viborg Katedralskole, Gammel Skivevej 2, 8800 Viborg in case of heavy raining.
Disqualification and quarantine
Disqualification not caused by three 2-minute suspensions will be reported to the tournament office and will result in a minimum of one match’s quarantine (the following match). In serious cases, a player can be disqualified for two matches or even excluded from the tournament.
Protests
Protest forms can be found at the timekeeper table and must be handed in to the tournament office no later than one hour after the end of the match. Together with the submission, a fee of 375 DKK/50 € must be paid. The fee is refunded, if the protest is approved.
Other
All teams must be ready for match five minutes before planned the beginning of the match. In case of no-show, the team will lose the match 0-5.
U-11 and U-13 do not use resin. Resin is allowed for all other classes.
Football boots may be used on Ringkjøbing Landbobanken Arena and Viborg Katedralskole but not on Energi Viborg Stadium Arena.

– 50-52 cm/size 1: U-13 boys and U-13 girls
– 46-48 cm/size 0 (leather): U-11 boys and U-11 girls
Referees
U-11 and U-13 have one referee per match in group matches and playoff.
U-15, U-17, and U-20 have two referees per match.
All finals will have two referees.
